Life Legacy

Sister Marie Brady was born on April 9, 1925 in Forrest City to the late Albert Kirkland and Mable Jackson Pye. In her early years she worked as a cook at Watkins Café, the Forrest City Jail and the local bus station. Sister Brady had various jobs but enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren and assisting in their childhood growth the most.

Sister Brady was a faithful and devoted member of St. Luke M.B. Church where she served on the Steward Board, was a loyal Sunday School Member and dedicated Usher. Besides her love for soul food and being in the kitchen, Sister Brady was often spotted walking to one of her favorite stores or sitting on her porch watching the traffic go by.

Friends and relatives are invited to post messages and share memories in the guestbook. Entries will be reviewed within 24 hours (except on holidays).
